I'm also hoping that by revamping this page, I'll work up the motivation to actually submit something, as I've been very much creatively drained lately.

SiLF - PrologueFive hundred years ago, Earth was prospering. An experimental new way of opening wormholes through the emptiness of space had given us access to parts of the galaxy we'd never seen before, and introduced us to the concept that we were not, in fact, alone. Our first contact with another sentient species was with a Tykellian tradeship, and the Tykel people took to us well, finding our lack of tentacles and need for clothing both amusing and endearing. The Nesbit FamilyThe night was cold, even more so than normal for late autumn. There was no moon, and the darkness almost seemed tangible to the people hurrying home along the poorly lit streets. They moved quickly, bundling their coats closer to themselves, and casting fearful glances at the shadows in the alleys.
